PatchSee RJ45 patch cord cables use an optical fibre inside the main cable, down which a light is shone to allow the quick end-to-end identification of cables in a cabinet.
The advantages of PatchSee fall into three key categories:
- Reliability without additional investment. PatchSee's light identification technology is easy to implement and is compatible with all structured cabling systems and active equipment.
- Fast, efficient trouble-shooting. A recent customer survey revealed that for 10% of our clients, 5 minutes downtime costs up to £3,500, with another 35% reporting that it costs them around £700. It is essential to be able to trace the necessary cables, or identify the correct port, in order to restore continuity.
- Customers need the best and most powerful connections. Most structured cabling installations are now progressing to Cat.6. Scheduled to be in place for 6 to 10 years, this 'permanent link' is seen as a major investment, and naturally clients are becoming more and more demanding. It is therefore important that all components meet the Cat.6 specifications. To meet the new demands, PatchSee have a policy of systematically testing each Cat5e and Cat6 patchlead that has been manufactured since 2000. The test reports are saved on a computer database and are available on request. In addition to the essential practical values - the quality of the data transmission and the infallible identification of both extremities of the patchcord - PatchSee products answer all the network administrator's needs.
And what else does PatchSee offer? What about:
- when you need a green patchlead of 2m and you only have a red one of 5m in stock?
- when you would like to start colour coding with 10 different application devices and you can only find 6 different coloured cables on the market?
- when your cable is longer than the one that you really need and it takes too much space in the rack?
- when the RJ45 connector gets broken because it was not protected?
PatchSee provide a unique, cost-effective solution. The 600,000 RJ45 patchcords sold worldwide in the last two years are proof that clients appreciate the advantages.
